General

What is Virtual Primary Care Medicine?

VPCM is a telehealth and in-person primary care practice led by Dr. Sherleen Harding, DNP-FNP-APRN. We provide full-spectrum family and primary care — virtually from anywhere, or in person at our Woodbridge, CT clinic.

What can be treated through a virtual visit?

Most common concerns: colds and flu, sinus infections, UTIs, rashes, medication refills, chronic condition check-ins, mental health support, weight loss consultations, and lab result reviews. If your concern needs a hands-on exam, we'll schedule you at the Woodbridge clinic.

What states can you see patients in?

Dr. Harding is licensed in Connecticut and holds multistate licensure. Contact us to confirm availability in your state.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Yes — same-day sick visits are a core part of our practice. Call (203) 940-2985 or request an appointment online, and we'll do our best to see you today.

Insurance & Cost

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare, plus self-pay. We verify your coverage before your visit so there are no surprises.

What if I don't have insurance?

VPCM offers straightforward self-pay pricing for every service, quoted before your visit. See our Insurance & Pricing page for details.

Visits & Prescriptions

How do prescription refills work?

Request a refill through the patient portal or by phone. Once approved, your prescription is sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy — usually the same day.

Where is the clinic located?

30 Hazel Terrace, Ste 10, Woodbridge, CT 06525 — convenient to New Haven, Hamden, and Ansonia.

How do I access the patient portal?

Established patients use our secure eClinicalWorks (healow) portal to view records, message the office, and manage appointments. Access it from the Patient Portal link in the header.

Privacy & Safety

Is my health information secure?

Yes. Visits and records are managed through eClinicalWorks, a secure, HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system. Video visits use encrypted connections.

What should I do in an emergency?

If you are experiencing a medical emergency — chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or signs of a stroke — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. Our visits are for non-emergency care.
